Heather Fanning

Heather leads Operations at Austin Fanning General Contractors, having started part-time alongside Austin in 2011 while working in publishing. In 2013, she transitioned to focus full-time on the business and its mission. With a keen eye for improvement and a unique perspective, Heather continually seeks ways to enhance both projects and operations. Her role includes guiding clients, overseeing projects, and ensuring smooth business functions. Originally from North Jersey, Heather holds a BA in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University.

Austin Fanning

While earning his Finance degree at Seton Hall University, Austin worked part-time in construction to pay for tuition. By the time he graduated, he realized his passion for the industry and began his career as a Carpenter’s Apprentice. Driven by a strong work ethic, he quickly advanced to Lead Carpenter and then founded Austin Fanning General Contractors in the ’90s. Over the past thirty years, Austin has continued to hone his skills as a craftsman and pursue his passion for leadership. As General Contractor, Austin oversees all project aspects, including budgeting, on-site production, and collaboration with architects, designers, and vendors. He was raised in West Orange and now resides in Cedar Grove, NJ.
